Safe communities are the foundation of a thriving county. Public safety should be proactive, balanced, and focused on protecting all residents.

I support policies that: 

• Support adequate staffing and resources for the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department and first responders.

• Strengthen behavioral health and crisis response programs so law enforcement can focus on crime while mental health professionals respond to appropriate calls.

• Expand mental health and addiction treatment programs

• Invest in community-based violence prevention

Our district will continue to see some growth, and we must ensure infrastructure keeps pace. 

I will work to:

• Improve road safety and traffic flow, particularly on key corridors connecting Gig Harbor, Tacoma, and the Key Peninsula.

• Advocate for transportation improvements and rural transit options to serve residents outside major transit zones.

• Ensure infrastructure planning keeps up with population growth, so communities are not left behind.

The forests, shorelines, and waterways of North and West Tacoma and the peninsula are part of what makes our district extraordinary. 

I will support:

• Protecting shorelines, forests, and wildlife habitat.

• Conserving open spaces and parks for future generations.

• Ensuring responsible environmental stewardship in development decisions.

Housing costs are rising across Pierce County, and too many families are being priced out of their own communities. Housing policy should balance affordability with protecting the charm of our neighborhoods.

My priorities include:

• Encouraging housing development where infrastructure already exists to reduce sprawl.

• Supporting solutions that help families, seniors, and young people stay in our communities.

• Partnering with cities and nonprofits to address homelessness and housing instability.

Small businesses are the backbone of our local economy, and a strong economy means opportunity for every family in our district.

I will support policies that: 

• Help small businesses start, grow, and succeed.

• Invest in job training and workforce development

• Promote economic development that creates good local jobs.

• Ensure county regulations are clear, fair, and efficient.

Public service means being accessible, accountable, and responsive to the people we represent. Residents deserve a government that allows all voices to be heard. 

I will support policies that:

• Promote transparency in county decision-making.

• Ensure taxpayer dollars are spent responsibly and effectively.

• Ensure county policies are fair and equitable for all residents, including our most vulnerable populations

• Support policies that strengthen diversity equity and inclusion
